Tourniquet.A Poem by johnnyqueer
I could construct an airplane from paper
To carry my thoughts way up skyward, Would you listen to me if I was screaming? Would you care if my tears fell like raindrops? I could construct a boat from plastic To carry my dreams down the drain, Would you catch me if my faith failed? Would you care if I lost all meaning? I could reconstruct a heart from shards Mutilating my own flesh in the process, Would you kiss each of my wounds? Would you be my tourniquet? Beneath the pool of blood boiling Would you help me find a key? I'm lost and losing patience again, I'm lost and lacking my tourniquet. © 2012 johnnyqueerReviews
