Short fuse.

Short fuse.

A Poem by johnnyqueer

I can feel my world dividing,
I fear the human I'm becoming.
I glow in angers embers,
I grow beneath scrutiny.

All the sings scream danger,
I'm just too tired to care.
I'm lost in my curiosity,
What lies beyond humanity?

I can feel my world dividing,
I hope soon for an ending.
I desire something bearable,
Something a little safer.

I fear the human I'm becoming,
This orb of unhealthy emotion.
The bombs will consume everything,
But I'll still be here standing.

When we get evicted from our old way of life and are forced to change, it's always frustrating, scary, and makes you have a short temper. "I fear the human I'm becoming" I've actually said that quote a time or two, about myself. I like the underlying truths of this poem--I've lived them. "I can feel my world dividing" That's when heart and mind are splitting out of synch with each other, and you don't even have the energy to cry for help as life itself is tearing your soul in half. It's enough to make a man's head explode. Don't worry--you'll still be alive at the end of it. Nicely penned!
