Words, all we have.

Words, all we have.

A Poem by johnnyqueer

Time, thin now like ribbon.
Rub me the wrong way,
before spiraling downward.
Remove your love from me.
I am stronger alone.

Laceration, run like rivers.
Your words hurt far more
than blades. Flowers wither
in your absence, you've
been gone for a while.

Stars, spit fire at my
wishes. Rejection is
swallowed, you taught
me so well. You taught
me nothing, really.

This is fricking brilliant! The way that we can sometimes realize we're in a wrong relationship, and pull ourselves out of it by clinging onto the fact that we'd be better off alone . . . that's a hard choice to make, and not many men can do it. This poem is wonderful, sir. The words are alive with their own blood, and when you read them you can feel the heart beat pulsing off the pages. Nice work! :)
