My boy.

My boy.

A Poem by johnnyqueer
"

All the things she used to say, or should have said, or may say. It's hard when you feel as though your roots want nothing to do with you.

"
Take it slow, boy. Day by day, boy.
Be careful, boy. Live your live, boy.
Act your age, boy. Don't be fresh, boy.
Go to school, boy. Find a job, boy.

Take it slow, boy. Slow it down, boy.
Grow up, boy. Act your age, boy.
Don't be afraid, boy. Take my hand, boy.
I love you, boy. Good bye, boy.

Take it slow, boy. Never fall, boy.
Loosen up, boy. Learn to trust, boy.
You're so grown up, boy. Not so young, boy.
Come see me soon, boy. I miss you lots, boy.

I'm so sorry, boy. Should have tried harder, boy.
Forgive me, boy. I loved you so much, boy.
You're so strong, boy. You made me proud, boy.
Live your life, boy. Dream away, boy.

Sometimes the balance of life we seek is thrown off kilter by life in general.. The yes the no...the maybe so.. You've described it well..x
