All in good time.

All in good time.

A Poem by johnnyqueer

You ignite my fascination,
squint eyes and study.
Confident in words spoken,
shut my mouth and listen.
Fresh much like rainfall,
I collapse into fantasy.

Thoughts ripple to surface,
blush and try to sink them.

You awaken demons,
evoke them back to life.
Connection acquired,
all else pending.
Drop my fears, place
a gram of trust in you.

Desire overwhelms and burns,
spreads like flash fire.

You press your thoughts
into my mind, I bite my
lip and change the subject.
Too soon, far too soon.
Cliche questions mask
all the ones too soon to answer.

All in good time,
don't cross the line.

You describe so well the feelings in a new relationship...the trust, the excitement, the holding back...I like it!
