Golden child, now grown up.

Golden child, now grown up.

A Poem by johnnyqueer

Forgive me, for I am changing.
I am human, I promise.
I am lost, like all else.
Deep in forests full of
memory, forgive me.
I am falling, apart,
and downward.

Spiraling the web of life,
learning techniques of
breathing. Deeply drag me
down to your levels of
loving. Hold me, I'll
be warm for you.
Warm me too.

Hold me, like a photograph
holding meaning, to you...
Don't let me disappear in
my vine like twisted thinking.
Surface me, calm me
with cool wind whispering.
Love me.

Grow from seed, to
plant, to tree. I'll
rise above and be your sun.
Be my net, my protection.
Base, my foundation.
Water trickle to wake
me back into clearer thinking.

What a fool I would be,
to expect love long lasting.
I'd rather compile moments
of adoration, and delete
the pain caused by loss.
Every tree will lose its leaves,
as every dreamer will wake from sleep.

I dream of days once golden,
before the rust consumed my hope.
I miss the simplicity in belief,
truth destroyed everything.
If I were to sleep endlessly,
I suppose I could believe again,
in you, and me, and our creations.

Every line of this is beautiful. You have a clear voice and one so unusually pure.
