Young hearts.A Poem by johnnyqueer
When you said I was worth the wait, how long
was I worthy of? Your time goes no faster than my own, your days pass no quicker than my own. I awaited for you to be my own, I waited alone. You are young, but far more brilliant than your years. I take offense to this deceit, you'll ignore what you've done to me. Blame it on my absence, or my distance. Abrasive words, try to swallow. I spent nights transforming feelings into words for you, you verbalized your adoration, I fell deeper. Time has changed you yet again, expected I guess, since you are young. Blame it on youth. I waited so long, for things to fall in place. I was in the wrong place, you change so quick. I'll blame it on yesterday, the past can swallow all that I refuse. Eliminate what I feel for you. Felt for you... I felt so strong towards you. Skipped sleep for you, dreamed of you. Smiled at the thought of you, of us. Why must you be so naive? I'll leave you in silence so you can forget. I'll secretly hope that you'll remember, allow your memories and pain to fester. Run to me, when you are older. I'll be waiting, when we're both older. © 2011 johnnyqueerFeatured Review
