Broken heart, empty bottle.

Broken heart, empty bottle.

A Poem by johnnyqueer
"

Just another night, missing him. Hating him.

"
Build up breath to break away.
Crumble beneath toxic love,
addiction wont fade away.
Spreading arms, awaiting shove.

Purse your lips to spit,
don't kiss. Destruction in
your hands, clenched fist.
Arrow in my shoulder, missed.

Build up breathe to scream,
your name... Cry and buckle
to knees in vain. Keep on
pouring, kill my pain.

You want to scream out what the bottle did. A second hardly passes, you know it was not the bottle's fault. You drank sweet, you drank bitter, the bottle poured in you only what it had. Now it is continuing to give you, only this time what it doesn't have.

You want to scream out what the bottle did to you, but for some reason you do not think it's the bottle's fault. It is love with legs, arms and a little pouting mouth; he who had poured you the drink. He is the name that you exhale when you breathe and the snake that swims in your red blood.

He is poison, he is a balsam, a blossom, a gust. He is nothing but my mad love.

Full of pain and suffering, this is a realistic depiction of how it feels late in the evening, another lonely night while he's away enjoying himself elsewhere...
