Happiness

Happiness

A Poem by Alexis Rikke
"

Please read. Pretty please.

"
Happiness is the steaming mug that
rests securely in my lap.
Happiness is my crinkly-eyed smile
as I listen to your sharp laugh.

Sunlight streaming through the window.
Blanket curled around my frame.
Huddled over cookies and milk,
Heaven must feel just the same.

May happiness last...

This is super cute. The image it brings to mind makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. I especially like the sound of the second stanza.

"crinkley-eyed" smile kind of threw me off a bit with the way it flowed in the line, but the imagery is cute so I don't mind it too much.

Loved the read!

I love it, but happiness to me is a good cup of coffee
