BlanketA Poem by Alexis RikkeA poem about moving on
My body is like a blanket in ways.
Sometimes it bunches And sometimes it stays. You love it all the same. But unlike a blanket my body is not your cover. You cannot hide behind me And claim to be my lover. For I will not pay for your mistakes Nor will I let you cause me any further pain. I will not be the blanket that you stain. I won't let you wash me with cheap detergent and hang me to dry. I will not let you hurt me. I will not let you see me cry. © 2017 Alexis RikkeAuthor's Note
