Lettered BalloonA Poem by LexiA million lettered balloons drifting
through the sky, to say
hello to you. and also
say goodbye
For miles they drift across
endless empty lands. Finally
dissolving into an
unexpected hand.
A simple surprise that leaves a boy full
of pain to read so
much sorrow and then it
starts to rain.
Tears slip unnoticed the letters
crumple in his hands, he holds
them close to heart like a
thousand grains of sand.
Delicately, as if its glass he hides
them far away, to never
read or hurt again knowing
that they'll always stay.
