I watched you pass by

with a smile on your face.

When I was yours.

You said there would never be anyone you would love

as much as you loved me.

But in three days

I was replaced by my closest friend.

I hated you from the bottom of my heart,

because you ripped out mine.

I wanted you to feel the agony I felt

the pain I went through

watching her make you smile

The smile that used to be for me.

I wanted to crawl back to you

beg for you to come back to me.

But I knew

that that kind of ending

was too happy for me to own.

But then I met a sweet boy

who made me smile again.

I fell in love with that boy

so now my heart will never hurt again.

But through it all

I will always be your friend.
