The Rose

The Rose

A Poem by Alexandra

It stands,

The rose,

Its petals wilting,

Forming a pile beneath its

Frail carcass.

It is nothing more than a stem now.

How ugly!

The only thing it had was beauty,

And now, it has nothing.
