Fragile

Fragile

A Poem by Alexandra Christine Moxin

Soft, a speck of

black fallen on pure crystalline

white ~ a shadow

dims the distance between

night and day

frailty, a heart of a million pieces

faulty somehow

yet beautiful in its failings

no struggle, no fight

somehow wins.

guest, a monster within me

sleeps softly beside me

violent and beautiful

casts doubt and finds the

miniscule cracks

in the facade of this

shiny armour

pain, doubt, nails

in her coffin

she was just waiting for

someone, to drive them in
