Kingdom 1.0A Story by Alexandra Christine Moxin
Words swirl in the princess’s mind. She feels the weight of her soul, the crush of eternity, and the beginnings of madness and chaos; in their swirling, continuous pulse. Pulse, a rush of blood in her veins, circulating endlessly. Newness, death, creation, finality. Nowhere to go, no depth, no ascension, only a window – through which she can see her father’s kingdom.
In the old part of the citadel she surveyed the landscape before her, the trees slightly gnarled and bent over time, the grass – a dull green, the endless strip of sand and the water, a cool clear blue. She spent most of her time at the ocean, wandering along the shorefront feeling the gritty silkiness of the sand underneath her feet and the reassuring wetness of the water lapping at her toes. Calm. The reason she loved it here was the overwhelming sense of calmness that being near the water always brought her.
