Winter

Winter

A Poem by Alex Louise Edwards
"

Homeless people on the streets over the winter

"

Lonely at times,

Slowly time passes by,

Here comes the snow,

And out comes a sigh.

Homeless on the street,

No money, no water,

No food to eat,

Just a blanket wrapped round their feet.

No home.

No bed,

No clean clothes,

Just a hat on their head.

Children homeless,

nobody to care,

Just people who stare.

People walking past,

The homeless looking helpless,

The hunger they feel can not last
