![]() Pain Of The InsecureA Poem by Alexander CainCaring is a prostitute in the disguise of a virgin. she has claimed more victims than cancer, but every time she calls I don’t hesitate to answer. She has taken so many people away from me, but when I’m with her I can’t help feeling free. She rescues me as I begin to drown, and makes me feel strong as she secretly tears me down. When she left I contemplated suicide, and would have done it if Elia wasn’t there to be my guide. My life was wasted when she was nowhere near, and the day she left I ran out of fear. Now she has returned and begins to taunt me, but my past experiences still remain to haunt me.
