Do You Ever Miss Me?

Do You Ever Miss Me?

A Poem by Alexander143
"

I miss you, even though its not right

"

Siting alone; it comes back to me.
Our story; our journey together-
Is like a picture of failed destiny;
We were perfect with each other.

Our pains; tears; our strength;
Our promises to stick around.
Our joys; our fears; our faith;
All burnt down to the ground.

Your divine, flawless inner beauty,-
Defies the thought of imperfection.
Your innocence and purity,
Your sincere love and affection.

Silence; staging my dreams' act.
Emptiness; the me you left behind.
My love for you isn't truth, its fact;
If out of sight, you're on my mind.

Do you ever really miss me too;
The love we shared; anything?
The things we did; like I do;
Us; together; what I'm missing?

I was all I could be with you near.
Loving, brave, caring and strong.
But now, my heart chocks on fear,-
Of being unable to correct my wrong.

Not just one of a kind, not at all.
You were your own special kind.
The girl I love with my entire soul;
One like none my hands will find.

Your every trace of imperfection-
Complimented one of my own.
Like fragments of fate's deception;
The envy time has in looking on.

Not my lover, not my princess,
Not my queen or mere woman.
I adored you like my goddess,
Yet, I only wished to be your man.

Do you ever look back to you and I;
Pray that we'll be together again?
Do you ever lay down and cry,-
Like I do; cuz of this intense pain?

Your afri-CAN, curvy structure;
Your warm and loving heart.
Without you in my picture,-
My pride is a blurry start.

Do you ever wish for another chance,-
To fall in my macho arms again?
Do you spare a thought, even once-
Or am I now, like those other men?

Moving on is a hurtful thought,
Cuz I'll never cease to love you.
I sit and wish I'd have fought;
I wish you don't love him too.

I choke on words I didn't mention.
There's a lot I want to say to you,
But for now, I have, but a question;
Do you ever miss me, like I miss you?

Keep Smiling

But now, my heart chocks on fear,- Did you mean 'chokes'

you are writing in a particular style that acts like a cage. The more quatrains you produce the more trapped you become in keeping the theme going without repitition. Still an interesting write

There's a lot of power in simplicity:
"Do you ever miss me, like I miss you? "
Simple words ring very true
