Welcome Back

Welcome Back

A Poem by Alexander143
"

I thought I lost you, then got you back...

"
Until it's gone, you don't know what you've got.
So, now I know just how much I love you a lot.
You're as good as you're bad. But humanly, you're
just on spot.
The end of my miserable life sentence, my full stop,
the conclusive dot.
Joy, pride, cheer, to my soul you brought.
The way you're always you, like the same soup in a
different pot.
The way you stood up for me and us, you always
fought.
And now, another chance for us, you've bought.
I could be with a million fly girls. But you're more. Fly
as they may be, you float.
I admire the way you admire me even though I'm
yours, 'My dude is hot.'
The way you freely express yourself, what you love
and what you love not.
The way you don't chock on unspoken words that
would hang on your throat.
It's ecstasy plus. Advocating for you though I ne'er
vote.
Thanks for everything. The joys, memories, every
moment we begot.
Welcome back to my life. The bad blood that rushed
against us, I'll slow to a halt-
Then with faith and hope, I'll make it clot.
Thanks for being you. Blood and bone and not just a
fantasy or thought.
Welcome back to my heart. You're still the best I ever got.

Keep Smiling
