GoodByeA Poem by Alexander143The poem I wrote when I broke up with my girl... Natasha
The sight of us; beautiful.
Making out in the middle of the tarmac, The stupid things we used to do... I yearn to have been able to drag the arms of time back.
Had I known that you and I were an accident, I'd have lost my seat belt. So I could die smiling, and satisfied. Than live bruised at heart as I behold the failure of the love we've built, It's not killing me. Life is dragging me to a point of suicide. I'll miss the way you instructed me to hold you when we were walking. The way you always tried to pick a fight with me. The way you stared at me when I was talking. The way you inspired me to act manly. It's amazing how I have to leave you. Maybe I don't, but I don't wish to risk making you cry more. I know no better way to say goodbye, when there's no good in my leaving you. But I hope you find someone and that you don't shut closed your heart's door. It's funny how life can dictate what we're to do. Well, maybe, it's just us who never opened our eyes to see it sooner. I can't apologize enough for hurting you. I'm sorry for our failed gamble of love. Guess life stands as the winner. I wonder where it is that you'll go. I wish to have been there, but I'll only increase your pain. But before you leave, there's one thing I want you to know... If I were to live again... I'd fall in love with you again and again and again... Keep Smiling © 2012 Alexander143 |
