When Times Are Dark

When Times Are Dark

A Poem by Alexander143
"

Good is in people, just as much as bad is...

"

Its funny how silence gets loud enough to be heard,
When we're out of speech, after using up every word.
Its amazing how we cross our fingers and wish upon a cigarette-lighter spark,
When times get real dark...

I marvel at those who look down on courage,
Unaware that total fear of life causes more damage.
Trust me, you can't trust a soul, cuz not even your shadow will have your back,
When times get real dark...

Permit me then, to know you at your best and worst;
When you're blessed and when you're cursed.
For it is only then that I'll stick around,
In those glimpses of fate, that you're angel is most profound...

Introduce to me, the angel in you-
But show me the demon too.
Teach me to love and to hate,
Then teach my heart to compensate.

Let me see that you're beautiful,
But don't keep the ugly out of view.
Shine in the light of the true truth only.
Be you tea full... But just rightly chiseled for me.

Its only human to conceal a fault.
But to seek a faultless human is not.
Bad is a symbol, Evil a sign and Fear, a mark.
But there's no hiding light...when times are dark...

Keep Smiling
