Number OneA Poem by Alexander143Some girls ought to think less of themselves. Same applies for some boys. Women and men are not exceptions. So, you're the 'it' girl? You're so sick, your looks intimidate them and make them hide. When your hips pendulum-swing, their heads go a swirl. Well, come closer. Let's take a peek at your inside. Wow! That much pride! No! Don't swallow it! I don't want you to choke. You say, your worth=expensive clothes + shoes + that ride? Wake up girl! Materials don't make you rock, they make you broke! Your head's grown so big, you can't fit in the crown of beauty! Call it 'esteem-gluttony,' you're full of 'you' like Exodus 20! But come nigh, let me show you the treasures of simplicity. Do you see that 'poor' girl over there? She's worth more than you because of humility. You have it all. But what's the point when 'all' is really nothing? Pride's before a fall- But, I'd rather you stay down, lest you keep falling. Your materials are the present's wrapping. You're body is pandora's box. Your personality is what I'm examining- And so far, the exterior and interior are a fig-like paradox. You no longer dress to kill, your 'opponents' are already dead. I feel for you but I still don't feel you're better than the rest. You see, you're number one, meaning you've got to keep up or somebody moves ahead. Well, my girl's more than that, unless you can compete with the first? If it were poetry, My girl's more than a piece, she's the whole thing. She's designed with divinity, Leaves you snapping like you've forgotten something. Keep Smiling © 2012 Alexander143Author's Note
