What if

What if

A Poem by Alexander143
"

Debateable truths and perceived realities.

"

What if life is smaller than we see;
If in the eyes of eternity, it's a
microscopic circle, running
constantly, the same few things
occuring repeatedly? The
simplicity that is deemed complex by you and me.

What if beautiful looks ugly,
In a different light,
And lovely, spiteful under
constant sight?

What if now's joys degrade to
later's sorrow?
And today's toys to treasure
tomorow?

What if we can't truly love?
If hating and revenging is all
we're really capable of?

What if I hate what is bad, but I'm
still not head over hills in love
with what is good?
Okay, if love was blind, why is it that I still see food?

What if teeth are just bones,
Like gold and diamonds are also stones?

What if we could look beyond
what we thought we see.
Catch sight of courage in a street
kid's eye and in a challenge, an
opportunity.

What if we worked together.
Cooperating, bearing with and
understanding each other.

What if we did not wait for our
future to come.
But dashed to embrace it and
relate the pangs of where we're
from.

What if villains look more
innocent than children,
And wickedness coated in a grin
could make up for whatever
beautiful rememberance is burried
and forsaken.

What if a Judas kiss turns me on-
And instills in me the bliss that was
eternally gone?

What if I'm not really an angel,
If the side of me that you never
get to see is cruel.

What if I fear to look it the
mirror?
Cuz I always catch sight of midday
horror?

What if I spend my life running
away from me?
Can I be myself, otherwise, which
me could I be?

What if I don't care?
You say I'm what you see and I
act like you're not even there.

What if education is the lock to the doors of my spiritual prize?
Spend every breath studying
medicine when we'll have no
sickness in paradise.

What if I never get to say
everything I wish.
And I did it again. Just cut the
ribbon, Finish!

Keep Smiling
