Escape

Escape

A Poem by Alexander

Trapped alone in a barren room
Dread to last for days
I haven't seen the outside world
My vision but a haze

The hard caked concrete below me
Steel walls on either side
Small widows provide light
But I cannot see outside

I can't recall how I got here
A single torch provides a glow
Items scattered around the room
And a black bird starts to crow

One bullet left in the chamber
Of a gun I cannot use
A box of explosive and fireworks
But nothing to light the fuse

A file to cut through metal
But no bars to escape through
A shovel to dig a tunnel
But no earth to escape to

So many things to escape with
Yet not one single way
The crow starts cawing louder
Here you will spend your days

Mhm, this is interesting. The rhyme scheme was quite well woven and the imagery shown in this poem is appreciable as well. I enjoyed reading it!
