Forget about it

Forget about it

A Poem by Alex Vandool

Scrap that last bit
This thing's not for real
Oh yeah! I think I told you so
Long, long, long time ago

Used to be a dreamer
At least that's what I meant
To be a knot on suffering
Some kinds aren't heaven sent

See you fall away to nothing
Looking out to morning rain
Man, those dreary clouds are dreary
Coming down's just not the same

And I drowned in flat emotion
You should know - you pushed me down
As I had you on my shoulders
Like no-one else could hear our sound

The drop's like broken hangmen
Witnessing last words
The loyal with the death-love
Glinting warm on burnt out film

Listen up, we clapped on
Listen out if that's your squeze
She's waiting for the good one
My princess loves to please
