The sad onesA Poem by Alex Vandool
The stunningly beautiful sad ones
So smart and funny Don't praise money Let it pass with aristocratic grace Before musty revolutions Busty resolutions Knew it easy and knew it well Nature's gift to fiery souls Shhh! You can't ignore it The mesmerizing depth of weary feeling Eyes for kneeling Years of dealing with such heavy loads It's personal, and spiritual Universally physical They've felt and thought it all True and true Then break the rules here Negotiate a path through labyrinthine pain Anxiety like gravity A certainty That pulls apart but won't let go Now solemn lips of dignity Now charming old hilarity A spark of wonder there as innocence survives This miracle of skillfulness This marvel spins humanity Each one a perfect symphony Of youth and age and hope You're every single part of you The Hessian angelinic blue Those looks That calm Your transcendental face © 2021 Alex VandoolAuthor's NoteFeatured Review
