You Again

You Again

A Poem by Alex Vandool

You should have done something

Said someone

Eased your way away from fools

Like us and our gang

Dying older

Younger

Stronger

Lost it all as we began

You never saw past it

Went under

Suffocating in the air of day

We could have gone somewhere

Held wonder

Felt longer

Destiny is such a breeze

It throws and tosses

Breaks asunder

Wrecks and gives as breath fades in

You should have said something

Time's someone

Gave it up but can't let go

You should have been someone

Known something

You're the one we all dream of

You'll always stay stunning

Stun senses

Love beckon

With your look, your words

You're pure

You don't need this hip gnosis

Slick motion

Light chamber

Chimeral

Synthetic

Slow

You have much more in you

Swung round you

You captivate with modest soul

Reminiscent of sitting on a seawall at 2 A.M.-ish and the thoughts that flow behind one's eyes while watching the waves marching endlessly ashore.
