"C**t"omer Service Part 1A Story by AlexValkyrieBased on true experiences I've had
"So does your ice cream melt?"
Inwardly I groaned, knowing I was totally incapable of answering this question with any level of sincerity. Still I had to try. "The display keeps it cold sir. But if it were taken out it would begin to melt after a few minutes depending on how warm it is in the store." The customer glared at me. "No need to be rude. You minimum wage workers are all the same." My fingers gripped the ice cream spades tighter but I calmly asked, "Would you like to try some flavors or are you ready to order sir?" "Don't give me that attitude." I felt myself being dragged towards my breaking point. Fortunately my grandmother who owned the store came out and noticed the customer, recognizing him. "This guy is my friend, I'll serve him. Why don't you do some dishes in the back?" At this point I was unsure if she had heard anything the customer said but I gladly obliged. I thought to myself, "Of course customers deserve the best service. And of course I have no right to be rude at all. But kindness should be a human responsibility. Not a work responsibility. I am human as well and deserve the same respect, if not more respect, than someone who thinks certain kinds of ice creams won't melt." I shrugged it off and started washing the dishes.
