Aim high, aim low, Don't stop trying

Aim high, aim low, Don't stop trying

A Poem by Cpt. Alex Rover
"

Maybe once really is never enough

"
I nocked an arrow to my bow
and missed by a mere stone's throw

I leapt for the moon
But came down too soon

Fuming, I stalked away
Looking for somewhere else to stay

Depraved, forgotten, lost but never found
An ancient half-penny left lying on the ground

For months in this way I lay
Fearing not, for come what may

I know I missed my mark
I fired in the dark

But what lost me the game
for what I am to blame

I never tried again
