Blazing Fires and Cold Ashes

Blazing Fires and Cold Ashes

A Poem by Cpt. Alex Rover
"

"
In a fit of anger I tore Him apart
Sundering our ties, breaking my heart

Blazing fear gnawed at me,
as it crept upon me, uncertainty

I fear it so, though I should not
But the gleaming anger is searing hot

The fire dies, in comes despair
Had I known, I would not dare

If I could go back and change it I would
but even that would not change where I stood

Among the cold ashes, burning ground
A love that was lost, and never again found-
