Goin' Home

Goin' Home

A Poem by Alex

I'm a long way from home
Staring out into a sea
Light shines from beneath
A shape only I see

Beckoned here often
To feel time pass me by
I pine and watch it shine
Until morning is nigh

I know it will deceive me
Upon this distant stone
Tide's arms will stretch high
I'm goin', goin' home

Alex,

I thoroughly enjoyed this poem, Goin' Home, to me it is like a calling from above.

He beckons me from the beyond and I heed his call, to my good fortune, I am His child. That is genuinely a compliment.

A beautiful work that creates peaceful images in my head, a lullaby - if you will. Above all this has been my Zen moment for this evening... thank you for bringing peace to my soul for these moments.

I will be back,

Wow, this is a really sweet one, and different too. Reminds me of Robert Browning. Keep writing! :)

My Dear Writing Friend,
On or the best poems I have read in some time. It painted a very clear word picture so intense that I could smell the salt water. A most excellent job, you are gifted.
