Aurora

Aurora

A Poem by Alex Norman
"

This poem is about the Northern Lights, making a reference to the Russian revolution.

"

Whirling cirrus clouds so green fill the sky,

Sea-blue ripples in the airbourne ocean.

Lines of purple are up in the air so high.

Soon Petrorgrad will see revolution.

Clouds form a mat of snow,

Blocking the Aurora Borellis.

A ship sails to Russia's coast to show

A storm is coming to the Winter Palace.

The raven calls over Kerensky's seat

As Kronstadt sailors traverse the corridor.

Every guard they meet they haste to beat

With the backs of their rifles. Then they knock over the doors,

To the Provisional Government.

Whirling cirrus so green fill the sky,

Sea-blue ripples in the airbourne ocean.

Lines of purple are in the air so high.

Petrograd died from revolution.

Its a sad contrast when we can be in the presence of natures beauty and still fight and kill its almost as if nature puts on a display to say no don't do this
