A Trivial Attempt to Understand OthersA Poem by Alex S. MooreAll I see is determined by the heart beats of others. My eyes merely fixed on a dark green sonar screen, Mapping the landscape off of the warm beats of hearts. A permanent picture of scenery is out of the question. What is visible and what is not changes every time I send a
frequency. The acoustic location of life changes as heart beats come
and go. Some are so strong I feel as though they are in reach Until the tips of my fingers tap the glass of my screen. When there’s no one around, I am blind in a world With nothing to see.
Gone before I reach it. Do all eyes work the same? If I was the one heart beat way off in the distance, Would anyone come for me? © 2015 Alex S. Moore |
