Growing OldA Poem by PoeticChicoOne day when you are "older" you might ask yourself what happened? will you remember? When I get up and see the sun from my window When we stand up and realize we are late once again When you walk in a dark path just to find the light That’s when we remember we are getting old I grow up every day thinking I’ll see you again I’m growing up so fast, there is no stopping now I grow old and distanced but I keep on I grow and grow to find a destination at last Wash your face and clean your dirty shoe lace Forget that painful breakup from yesterday Clean your car seats and take a ride You know life it’s too short to be stuck on today Eat and drink with no immediate regrets Throw yourself out there and chill Hug a friend that will break your heart Live on the fast lane waiting for the thrill Have you arrive to your destination yet? Enjoy the freedom of being young Sing along all the popular songs Because sadly life is a stupid bet © 2016 PoeticChicoFeatured Review
