The bell tolls

The bell tolls

A Poem by Alex Epps
"

Religion and politics sharing inseparable ties

"
Are you an election voter
Or just some opinionated big noter
Are you voting for a bigger change
Or just to maximise your superior wage

Growing that gap they call disparity
Step outside an I’ll give you clarity
But not to promote more violence
Just to teach you I won't sit here in silence

Bout time you Listen to the people
Tax the church, don’t pray beneath its steeple
Praying is only your petty excuse
Burying your guilt for all the misuse

Should It be called cognitive dissonance
Or would you prefer wilful ignorance
Pretending you're forever exempt
But just remember the definition of contempt
