Fly Back to MeA Poem by Alex EppsMissing your love
It may sound like a cliche but, time really flies
when I'm not there looking into your eyes Forever dwelling on those now distant goodbyes But always to cherish these unbreakable ties The weeks and months now turning to years Memories of you trigger these irrational fears Asking myself when I will ever find another But this is a question for which I have no answer For I am clouded with all this confusion Though I realised I was in search of a solution To a problem that was just my insecure illusion For now, we are parted only by sea and land Remembering our love provided my diffusion For my heart only beats whilst in your hand I wait for the time you will fly back to me For on that day, for you, I will drop to one knee © 2024 Alex Epps |
