The tragic death of pieA Story by Alex CrowYou'll have to read it to find out :)"If we were all to die right now would most of us die happy?" Sarah asked. "We can all die after dessert," I said remembering the grasshopper pie in the fridge. "YOU! You're the one who made my cookies disappear!" Jeff yelled looking at the ice cream, mint cookies and chocolate syrup. "I'll buy more tomorrow at the store." Nico walked in and he shook the snow off, silence filled the room. I'll buy more if I live to see tomorrow, I thought looking at Nico's angry face. "Your fate has been decided Rachel," Nico said looking at me a smile in his eyes. "Are they going to have me killed? It was that officers fault! He didn't follow protocol and hold up his badge as he walked out. He should've known that we are trained to shoot at anyone not holding a badge or papers." "Calm down, it was a misunderstanding and he didn't follow protocol. You're free to leave...after we eat the pie." As we dished out the pie it seemed to be committing suicide. We cut it up into 4 and as each one got a piece it died. When Nico got his he sat down and ate. Jeff and Sarah got their pie next, Jeff's pie jumped to the floor and Sarah's fell down into the sink. I decided to give up my pie to the others, I'm just happy I’m allowed to live another day. My day got even better when I remembered that there is another pie hiding in the freezer and that one is ALL mine.
