Nature and all of its beauty and destruction

Nature and all of its beauty and destruction

A Poem by Alex Crow

The wind blows

The thunder cracks

The rains pour down in buckets

Lightning illuminates the skies

Lakes appear at my windows

Water seeps in under the doors

Cars get carried away

Branches float into the roads

School Cancelled

Aftermath of this deadly downpour

Roads caked with mud

The slippery dirt under our feet

Puddles deep enough to swim through

Cars crashed

People drowned

Yes it’s beautiful

Yes it’s cooler

Yes it’s deadlier

And we get to deal with it all again tomorrow
