LostockA Poem by AlexArthurFirst attempt at poetry, please leave feedback as i am wanting to hone what skills i have.holidays away never
felt more at home when at Lostock both
aesthetic beauty and soul the natural charm
could encapsulate all with rivers running wild to heifers peaceful
stroll the country side
reflects untamed and ravaged while at same time tranquil and serenity when the rain and the clouds come to engulf the dam runs rampant and on ears is roaring fish flutter over and sometimes boats and at the base lay dragons dancing in the sun green rolling hills
seen in every direction and trees so large that they hint at ancient isolation is found
here, but not the bad sort a retreat from a bustling central city scape the rocky scout camp
stream with a surface like glass and chilled mountain water that resembles the sky I fail to see better
on a scorching summers day than drifting afloat with cold carlton in hand and that quiet old
trail that follows the river with flowers and grass aplenty and great the sweet scent of
lavender, dirt and fresh birds chirping sonnets and water seducing a swim the populace imitates
the nature of this place kind, inviting, wild and free although rough around
the edges as country folk are their hearts beats for all, gracious and full the shindig weekends
where beverages flow and unity of community, a sight to behold music on the stage
conjures a field full of rambunctious and the makeshift kitchens waft of rich gravy and
beef so tender leaving is hard but
returning is easy for you can hardly
misremember the Lostock soul driving away from a
vacation household holidays away never
felt more at home © 2015 AlexArthurAuthor's Note
