(A)musing Time

(A)musing Time

A Poem by Lavi
"

messy musings

"
To know love
I have learned despair
It is a feeling few can get rid of
A weight I can sometimes hardly bear

But...

In understanding loss
I have found worth
In the people who have cut across
The walls I have placed in the earth

Friends fiddle with time
Hundreds of moments crammed into hours
Leaving impressions that can last a lifetime
Knowing nothing this powerful is ever ours

Relationships slip through my fingers
like my hands hold the waters of life
The need for it lingers
Yet I always place others before my strife

For I felt the warmth of the sun pull me from the dark
I have heard the certainty that the rain will end
I have seen how history has left it's mark
And I know that people can change more than they comprehend

For life is a gift
Reminding me how our time is swift

In life, we will love many.
"For life is a gift
Reminding me how our time is swift"
The above lines is true dear Lavi. When love is near, a lover's kiss, a child hand in your hand and the eyes of a grandparent. We are blessed.Thank you dear Lavi for sharing your amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Here, I go by Lavi because even if I weren't a relatively private person, I am not fond of my given name in the first place, and as someone once said, "you don't live up to the name. The name lives up.. more..
