Guilty ConsciousA Poem by LaviReally vague description of guilt
What was lost cannot be returned
As I look into the mirror I wonder what others see If it's the despair I have learned Or the lies I could be From a young age I was shown what I could never be Told of the person who would forever bleed And as I fought to be free I started to feel the weight of this need It is easy to be lost in carelessness Watching as my actions shape the lives around me Oblivious to the consequences of such fearlessness Too late I realized the power to destroy thee Destruction The beauty of falling apart And the horror of deduction As I realized the matters of the heart For what place do I have to judge the value of life When too long I have felt the end of a knife?
