PequenaA Story by Alessander
The mouse scurries out
At the periphery of my vision At the corners of the cobwebbed room Enough to question if something is truly there like phosphenes ever present but briefly it patters in and out in micro-seconds like some quantum particle
phasing in and out of "reality" with little sound and less sense I try to lure it out with morsels of bread and cheese, cracked doors But it remains aloof beneath beds Dank closets, musky desks Behind immovable bookshelves Forever aloof and ghostly, scuttling My dear lil one You ODed 5 years ago Oh, I miss you so. © 2020 Alessander |
