Something about her the way she sips her beer as if it’s tea, and she’s in a kimono peering out into a storm as the wind rattles the pot and snakes through the silk she undulates, sliding her finger over the rim, then sips
I know the real storm broods inside her frail frame but she says little. mostly listens and it drives me utterly insane she should scream or bang on walls she should throw ashtrays into tvs but instead, she simply nods her glazed eyes as still as pearls
She’s like a cherry blossom descending towards the muddy trail below she will be trampled by hooves of merchants and thieves and I am the charcoal cloud, aching as I feel her falling farther from me…
You always know when you've written something that is moving for others when reviews still come in after years of being posted. The title caught my attention because I absolutely love cherry blossoms, and I'm very glad I took the time to read this. Truly beautiful work.

very beautiful line... the feeling of helplessness as you watch her suffer... yet the frustration you feel....but not a sigh or cry from her end...

And unfortunately, what I feared would happened happened.
She died tragically young. Trampled by thieves and merchants.
Thanks for reading. Glad it touched you in some way.

I really enjoyed this write. I love to read writings that take one specific simplistic situation and turn it into descriptive images that fill your mind with a perfect image. The amount of description in this poem is quite excellent, I can picture this woman quite clearly. The relationship you have written between yourself and this girl makes me intrigued to read more, I quickly became curious about their past and future together. I felt like a whole story could have unfolded from this ,but the little spinet into their lives was just perfect enough for the reader to get an insight of the two. You can't compare this poem to any other, it's simply original, straight from your mind alone. Again really good read. I'm always excited to see writings like these.

Don't Cherry Blossoms symbolize Clouds in Japanese Culture? If so, that last stanza is beautifully appropriate.
A woman too lovely and delicate for this world came to mind as I read this, a woman not long for this world just like cherry blossoms as they bloom for around 2 weeks in Spring before they disappear.
A very good poem with some great visuals and a strong theme. Very good, Fellow Serial Killer! ;)

Anyhow, yes, Blossoms are symbolic in japanese culture, usually stand for the transcience of beauty and life.
It was customary for samurais to write poems about them before going to war and certain death.
Indeed there is magic with these simple yet enchanting flowers. I got attracted by the title and I confess the poem filled me with so much yearning and longing. Your words dancing like the cherry blossoms on the breeze, each carrying a word of love, a sigh, a greeting.. loved it!!

Do not doubt yourself. This poem, is added to my favorites :D
This is a real masterpiece. From the title, to the picture, to the actual words. Indeed it is one damn mesmerizing piece, but I feel like even that is an understatement. You have a way with words, and this subconsciously put a smile on my face. I think it was the gorgeous descriptive language that did it. Those last six lines was the final blow for me.
Is this really what goes through a guy's head when he sees a beautiful woman?
Thank you for sharing!
