Endless Possibilities

Did you know that ALL things are possible in Christ Jesus? In Matthew 19 Jesus told the Disciples that with God- All things are possible. In Philippians 4:13 it says: I can do All things through Christ who gives me strength. So, then in Christ there are endless possibilities as to what we can accomplish in our lives and that is very exciting news to most people. I know for me it is great news, because I understand that without Christ I can accomplish very little. I mean sure, that in my flesh I could accomplish dozens of meaningless things in life, but nothing that brings Glory to God. For us to allow the Christ centered possibilities to be front and center, we must allow the flesh to die off and the God in us to arise. It’s a transformation process that can be painful but the outcome is always Beautiful and Freeing.

I think that’s why I love butterflies. Not only do they signify Grace, Beauty and Freedom. A butterfly starts life as a very small egg. They say if you look close enough you can actually see the tiny caterpillar growing inside of it. Butterfly larvae are what we call caterpillars. Caterpillars do not stay in this stage for very long and mostly, in this stage all they do is eat. The caterpillar stage reminds me of those stages we go through when we find ourselves constantly eating, binging on the Word of God. That stage should always be alive and active, but I know for me it has come in stages. Once the caterpillar has eaten all it can eat, they undergo a remarkable transformation, called ‘metamorphosis,’ to become a beautiful butterfly.

That’s exactly what happens to hungry Christians. When we eat and drink enough of the word that we become full, then God exposes Himself through us and we begin to pour out of His overflow. Everything we have eaten comes to life through our acknowledging His truth in us. We begin to expose His truth in the way we love and tend to one another. We become more aware of who we are in Him. Through His healing grace we break free from those cocoons we have allowed ourselves to be wrapped in and we are set free. We have been given Endless Possibilities to become whoever it is Christ has designed us to become and we walk in the knowledge that through Him, All things are possible.

So, my question to you is: Do you believe that in Christ ALL things are possible? I’m not asking you to believe in your own abilities, nor am I asking you to try an accomplish anything in your own strength, but I am asking you to allow God to expose His will for you through His word and allow yourself to be free. Free from fear, insecurities and self-doubt. Like a Beautiful butterfly does, spread your wings and fly. Understand that there is nothing you can’t do if it’s God’s will for it to be done. As a butterfly transforms through many changes before becoming a beautiful butterfly, we must allow our hearts and minds to be transformed so that we may also spread our wings and fly. Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Remember, that in Christ the Possibilities are Endless!
