His Glory Revealed

His Glory Revealed

A Story by "Aleeza"

Revelations 21:1-4 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone.  And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.  I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them.  He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”

Can you even begin to wrap your mind around what it’s going to be like to live face to face with the one true living God? I know He lives in us, but I’m talking about seeing Him in our sight, feeling Him touching our face as He wipes away our tears. I cannot count how many times I have day dreamed about what that would be like and look like and feel like, but I promise that no matter how much we day dream or think hard enough, we will never ever be able to slightly fathom what God has in store for us in the new Heaven and Earth. Are you excited? Are you afraid? For years, I was afraid. There would be times when I would lay my heart before God and tell Him how scared I was, not truly understanding what’s on the other side. Thinking just how weird is that going to be not being a wife and a mother and cooking and cleaning, getting kids ready for school and my husband off to work. What then is there to do? That’s all I am used to doing. Now, I cannot begin to tell of the excitement I feel, the anxiousness that runs through me. Knowing that never again do I have to worry about reading of the horrifying news in the paper and live in fear.

I will for eternity worship Him, to sing His praises, to not just pray to but to live among the Father of all Fathers.  Do you realize that there will be no darkness there? There will be no night. There will be no sun; the light that shines in the new heaven will be the light of God in all His Glory. There will be no more diseases, no more pain, no more hurting, no more insecurities, no more lies, no more murders and on and on.  There will be no more days where we must make desperate choices out of fear, because there will be no more fear. Romans 8:18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Are you beginning to wrap your mind around this yet?  Do you see what the King of Kings is offering us? Do you realize how absolutely radiant this will be?  Do you know how easy He has made it for us to inherit all these things?

The only steps you need to take is by opening your mouth and asking Jesus to live in you, to come in your heart and take refuge of your thoughts, to make you like Him, or to at least for us to want to walk as Jesus walked.  Is the walk always easy? No, not at all, but if spending eternity in all His Glory is worth a few hard times, then what are you waiting for? Never assume as if it can wait until tomorrow, because tomorrow is never promised to any of us, So, if by some freaky accident something fell from the sky and landed on you, where would you end up? Would you bow before the King of Kings? Or, would you become another marshmallow on one of the devils sticks that he’s going to dangle over the fire? Harsh?  Maybe so but needed. We need to stop playing with God and start allowing Him to move in us, to live in us, to work through us. God is calling us into a place of repentance so that our hearts our purified when we answer His call.  I want to be there when my Father says job well done. I’m so willing to do what it takes to get there. You see, I have already been through the times were people didn’t want to talk to me because I’m so different, I have already allowed myself to miss out on things God had for me because I was afraid of what people would think.

No more, I’m different because the word of God says that those who live for Him would be known as peculiar people. 1 Peter 1: 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. So, you see, if you willingly go into salvation already knowing you’re going to be different from the rest, then your already one step ahead of most of us because I surely did not know these things in the beginning.

I want the promises of God and I can only pray you do as well. This is my thought process. Think of it as if you were a parent looking for a lost child (some of us have been there) imagine the sorrow you feel, imagine the tears you would cry, well that’s how God feels when we are lost, because we are His children, He created us in His image to worship Him. To serve Him, to have life more abundantly, to have joy, not sorrow. John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

We are His chosen generation, His royal priesthood, His holy nation. We are because He is, He is the great I am. Don’t allow fear, or ignorance hold you back from Gods promises. His promises are available to all who are willing to receive. Are you in a receiving mood? Are ready for the grace of God to take over your life? It’s all in the words we speak. It’s up to us to ask for it. That’s why He gave us a freedom of choice. Now it’s your turn to choose. So please choose wisely and choose Jesus. He is so worthy of it all. Prepare to see His Glory Revealed.
