Not This Woman

A Story by Alecia Noelle

The Hillary© says she is so sick of Bernie Sanders and his supporters. Well I am so sick of her. She expects to just be handed the election because of her power and money and having so many years of 'experience' to the country. This experience includes voting for war in the Middle East, which she claims we should see as a business opportunity. This 'investment' as she puts it has cost the United States 6 trillion dollars. It has also cost the lives of over 5,000 American troops and over 500,000 Iraqis. Just the price of making money. That sums up her entire view of foreign policy. Hillary would be sure to expand U.S. involvement in the Middle East and elsewhere if she is elected president. In 2002 she voted for the American invasion and occupation in Iraq that has, after a decade, accomplished virtually nothing. In 2009 she was made Secretary of State, the position in charge of United States foreign policy, by the newly appointed President Obama. She tried and failed to make headway in relations with Russia and China, which ended up backfiring as those countries gain in power and expand their territories, weakening U.S. security and influence overseas.
But that is nothing compared to the chaos she had caused in the Middle East. In 2011, with Hillary as Secretary of State, the U.S. pulled out its troops of Iraq. She claims to have been opposed to the plan, but Obama reports that it was a result of not having a Stats of Forces agreement with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki, an agreement that was her responsibility to negotiate as Secretary of State. She blames the Prime Minster for the failure to come to the agreement. The abrupt US departure left the country in chaos as the Iraqi government went back to denying the minority Sunni population a place in government, which made them receptive to the militant group Isis and allowed them to grow and expand rapidly. It is the same story in neighboring Syria, where the U.S. did nothing against Syrian President Assad and the horrors he was committing against the people. With no other options they became susceptible to the growing jihadists who were fighting him. The US abandoning of Iraq and non existence in Syria allowed Isis to gain control of both countries and put the entire region in turmoil. The U.S. is now back in Iraq without an SoF agreement.
A similar failure also happened in Libya. In October, 2011, Muammar Gaddafi, the Prime Minister of Libya, an evil dictator killing his people, was killed by an American bombing run. Hillary, as the United States Secretary of State, celebrated the success by declaring, 'We came, We Saw, He Died.' Her words showing the degree of entitlement and ignorance that she has about her ability to control and influence other countries. The country of Libya was then thrown into chaos and with the instability became a safe haven for Islamic terrorist groups. This was not a successful venture and yet another example of the U.S. trying to force our will on other countries but leaving it in ruins after we simply bail when things get tough.
This was only the beginning of Hillary's failure in Libya though. After Gaddafis death, the U.S. Embassy in Libya asked for more protection and Hillary ignored those requests. Soon after the embassy was attacked and four Americans were killed. Susan Rice, the U.S. Ambassador to the UN, claimed it was a spontaneous event when in fact it was a well executed terrorist attack. That was a blatant lie to try and dodge responsibility for the deaths. In deplorable hubris, Hillary later asked 'what difference does it make?' whether the attack was planned or not. The situation in Libya was not just a foreign policy failure of being unable to foresee the rise of power of Islamic militant groups, but a compete leadership failure that showed Hillary's incompetence as Secretary of State and cowardice to accept any responsibility for her failures that caused so much damage. I expect better from my leader. I expect a president that is not content with leaving multiple countries and regions in turmoil. Hillarys military record is clear and it is a disaster and I am terrified of what she will do as Commander in Chief.
She supports fracking and off-shore drilling, activities that bring in lots of oil and billions of dollars to American gas, fuel and energy companies. Fracking uses a huge amount of local freshwater, at least 2 to 5 million gallons of water for each well, that must be transferred to the site in tanker trucks. The water is then pressurized, mixed with sad and chemicals, and shot deep into the ground to fracture rocks, allowing us to get gas and oil. The environmental contamination to the air, surface, ground and drinking water at each site is significant. There are currently more than two million of these wells in the United States. She also supports exporting fracking and helps U.S. companies find lucrative deals overseas; which has led to disastrous consequences in countries with no environmental laws or regulations. Again, this is all about the money.
In 2006 Hillary voted for off-shore oil drilling in Gulf of Mexico, a practice that causes immense pollution and risks severe environmental damage when a tanker or pipeline spills and releases millions of gallons of harmful petroleum into the environment. This is exactly what happened in 2010 when a British Petroleum Oil Rig exploded off the shore of Louisiana , releasing a total of 210 million gallons of oil into the Gulf. There have been 18 recorded spills by American companies since then. These types of dirty energy drilling are destroying the environment and leaving large areas of the world in ruins but the powerful oil conglomerates behind it only see the millions in profit they make. Big oil companies like Exxon Mobile have given millions to the Clinton Foundation, as have important oil-rich countries like Saudi Arabia whom the United States counts as crucial trade partners. To me this is not acceptable. I want a leader who believes that America should be investing in finding renewable energy sources, not continuing to pump fossil fuels.
When the stock market crashed in 2008, Hillary voted to bailout the criminal bankers who were responsible for it, instead of the people. The federal government and Wall Street continue to deny their role in causing the recession. But the blame can be directly attributed to their illegal and fraudulent activities: mounting national debt, insider trading, poor loans, rising interest rates, collapsed housing market and overall corruption designed to increase the economic disparity between the rich and poor. To this day only one banker has gone to jail. The rest of them were rewarded with millions of federal dollars despite already earning millions in profit. Hillary voted for that. Why? Because they sponsor her. Of the top 10 corporations that earned the most profit but PAID NO FEDERAL TAXES, all 10 donated to either her 2016 presidential campaign or family foundation. By February her campaign had amassed more than $157 million, mostly due to major Washington lobbyists, Wall Street corporations and billionaire donors. She supports loopholes that allow rich corporations to avoid paying taxes overseas and receive millions in tax refunds. All while saying she will stand up to big banks and drug companies. She voted against an increase in minimum wage that would help everyday Americans. She voted to cut social security , a critical government service that everyone relies on in order to have security in their later years. It is worth mentioning that CEOs and major corporate executives have million dollar retirement funds stashed away. But she wants to cut social security because it eats away at the profit margins for the corporations that sponsor her. All of this is unacceptable and I do not believe that she stands for the average American. I do not believe that she has peoples best interest in mind. She stands for corporations. She stands for Wall Street. And I for one do NOT want to have a president that thinks corporations are more important than people.
There is also the fact that Hillary Clinton has no credibility whatsoever. She has zero sincerity. Nobody believes her. Her words and votes are 100% bought by big business. She has flipped flopped on so many issues no one can keep track. Among them: TPP, NAFTA, raising debt limit, raising payroll taxes, arming Syrian Rebels, Cuban embargo, Keystone, gun control, gay marriage, immigration, Irans right to uranium...the list goes on. But you either never hear about them or they are completely under reported by the media. Too many people are unaware of how flaky she really is. Why? Because she has the support of the Democratic National Committee and its chairwoman Debbie Wassermann Schultz and they will not allow her to be criticized or flaws made public. The democratic debates with her opponent Bernie Sanders have been scheduled at odd times to guarantee low viewership. She flat out refuses to talk about anything she doesn't want to, anything that is considered 'sensitive' to her because people might call out her lies. The DNC is firmly behind her and doing their best to sabotage Bernie. He is fighting against the establishment and people are listening. They hate the wide and exuberant following he is getting are terrified that he will beat her now. He won the last five states with more than 70 % of the popular vote. That scares them. He draws birds and inspires hashtags and they can't stand it. They don't want things to change. They want to keep their power and money in hand. They wanted a coronation for Hillary. Everything was in place.
Look no further than the superdelegates. She currently has a 469-31 lead. This gives her an enormous advantage and the DNC wants people to think she has already won. That way people vote for her or won't bother voting. The superdelegates will back her even when Bernie wins with 70% of the vote. They will go against the people. Several have come out and said this. And this goes against everything democracy should be. For the people in power to bypass the people and just elect whoever they want. The whole system is flawed and the DNC is as corrupt as the GOP. It is all for Hillary and she is exhibit A. She initially declined a debate in New York with Mr. Sanders, saying she wouldn't debate him until he 'changed his tone'. But it is her who needs her tone. All he has ever done is speak the truth. He has stated the facts and she sees it as an attack. Her public record is fair game for criticism, as it is for every politician. But she gets mad and thinks no one should ever be allowed to bring it up. She knows the people will see through her. She knows that she is a fraud. And she doesn't think she should have to answer for it. The bottom is she believes she doesn't have to answer to the public. Ever. She thinks that she is above the people. And I don't want that kind of a person as my leader.
For all of these reasons I do not support her candidacy and I do not think she would make a good president. She stands for Big Oil, Big Banks and Wall Street. She was a horrible Secretary of State. At every opportunity she has backed expanding U.S. military intervention overseas. In Afghanistan. In Syria. In Libya. In Iran. The list goes on. She would make a horrible Commander in Chief. She would get the U.S. involved in more wars that would cost thousands of lives and leave more chaos. And she wouldn't care because it would be good for business and expand her power. She would ensure the future of banks and Wall Street corporations by giving them millions of federal dollars they do not deserve. She would give them more tax refunds and loopholes to ensure their support and donations. She would then pass on those costs to the public because she does not represent or fight for average people. She would pass whatever laws big corporations want because she represents them. Not us. She is not for the people. She is not by the people. She is not of the people. Her campaign runs on those millions in donations and superdelegates. She has virtually no popular support. There is no way she should be the Democratic nominee. The people do not want her. I do not want her.
She has refused to released transcripts of speeches she gave to banks, despite people asking for them and it being common practice for politicians. She is currently under investigation regarding emails she sent from her time as Secretary of State. This is not a trustworthy person. This is not a woman who should be president. Some people will vote for her because they are part of the 1% that her policies will help. Some people will vote for her because they are not aware of her record. Some will vote for her because they want to see a woman president.
And I strongly disagree with them all. I would love to see a female become President of the United States one day. Just not this woman.
She has not earned it.
