He Doesn't KnowA Poem by Alecia Noelle
Oh wow, look at him now!
Ain't he bright? What a delight! He thinks he runs this show! Oh how many things he doesn't know! But then why should he doubt his might? When he thinks he's always right! After all! He always wins his fights! He's always had a light! That little sprite! That evil knight! He never did know plight! But then, there, in the dark of night, There did grow a blight! Upon his thrall! He didn't forestall! And it's too bad he doesn't know! He doesn't know! He doesn't know! That its judgement time! So he'd best watch out! He doesn't know! He doesn't know! The reaper has come to call! And the swords about to fall! Oh yes! He thinks he runs this show! That wretched schmo! That lazy Joe! Never did do the math! Imagine his surprise, When the river did change its path! He doesn't know! He doesn't know! That now he'll face my wrath! So let him know! Let him know! Let him know! That this won't be going away! And there's gonna be hell to pay! Let him know! Let him know! That now his time has passed! That his wickedness will end at last! Oh he's gotten in a bind! He is forever blind! So many things he doesn't know! He doesn't look! He doesn't see! But if he did, he'd know! That we are coming to a head! That we are about to come to blows! Come what will! Come what may! If he listened, he would learn! The tides about to turn! He'd see the waters start to churn! So find him now and let him know! Let him know! Let him know! That a storm is coming! So he'd better lock his doors! Let him know! Let him know! That he went too far! And the time has come to even out the score! Tell him now! That the war has only just begun! © 2016 Alecia Noelle |
