Boston blues

Boston blues

A Poem by Aldo kraas
"

That is an old poem Written by Aldo Kraas

"
Many years ago I live in Boston
There was lots of violence in the streets in Boston
Also there are people who smoke street drugs
And I know that they are destroying themselves with street drugs
I don't know how they get the money to buy street drugs
I hate to see them smoking street drugs
Also there is not safe to walk in the streets in Boston
Also in the subway station it is not safe there
During the day I went to school so I could get my education
Because I know that is very important to get an education
If I don't have an education I won't be able to get a job
I know that I want a job so badly
I keep looking for jobs in the newspaper
It is very hard to get a job this days
All the jobs that are available pays the minimum wage
And I know that it is very hard to live on minimum wage
So when I came to Boston I didn't spoke one word in English
I had to learn English in the school
I t wasn't easy for me to learn English
In Boston I lived across from the Charles river
Every day after school I used to ride my bike on Charles river
And the sun was out
We had good weather in the summer
We never had any rain coming down from the sky
When the sun went down I returned home with my bike
Now it was night time finally
We had our dinner
After dinner I went to bed
Because I had to wake up early
I had my breakfast
Then at 5:30 I arrived at school
