May Bee

My style is mostly gothic and explorative of deeper questions but in my range I sometimes like to switch it up. Heres a piece I wrote a while back about a friend who inspired me to be kinder.

A bee, today
My way flew
It buzzed me a greeting
I smiled a return and thought of you

With grace in her stripes
Flight like May wind blew
I found this Queen Bee
Where emerald grass grew

Shes striking in colour
Against a sky baby blue
I followed a messenger bee
Who led me to where fresh flowers bloom

For now the roses slumber
Wrapped in dirts dusty tomb
But I saw the return of the bee
And I’m sure they’ll follow soon

My pieces focus more on emotion than poetic structure but I am always willing to take feedback on both to broaden my style!!
