Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much

Another war story inspired by a real event.

Live well, laugh often and love much.

The three things I was always told to do as a kid growing up.

 

Now look at me a Sarge in the Elite Black-cat section of the air force. We just got back from a

Stint in the Pacific, where we were sent to recover the shot down bomber crews. As we came in and landed on the water we were attacked by the Japs kamikaze pilots

And their PT boats.

 

We only managed to rescue 5 of the 15 crew members but we were to late to rescue the others. Over all we lost 2 of our crew. We’re now resting for our next job protecting the waters of U.S.A but for now we rest and celebrate that we made it home. Of the 6 Black-cats

Sent out that day we were the only ones to survive. I’ve done so much yet so little, so much for live well, laugh often, and love much. We have a great bunch of guys in our crew their like brothers to me, but when needed we know what to do. Earlier this week we attacked and destroyed 3 ammunition ships and 15 PT boats re-supplying the Jap troops. We lost 4 Black-cats in that fateful day, each day we loose men and we’re quite for a minute. God Bless Us we need it.
